Women among men are unique in their ability to give life – in the physical, spiritual, and emotional sense. To nourish, to nurture, to give life — this is what it means to be woman.
This year's Catholic Women's Conference will explore the unique calling of women as "Givers of Life." In what Pope John Paul II phrased "a culture of death," it is women who have a particular mission of creating, nurturing, and defending life. This truth is written in our very bodies – that we were made to love — to hold — life.
Key themes will include:
- Discerning the specific vocation and mission to which God has called you
- The essential role of women in the Church
- Being a "Giver of Life" at every stage/state: married, single, divorced, widowed, consecrated
- Using your feminine gifts to engage in the affairs of the world and order them to God's will
- Being a "Giver of Life" in a Culture of Death
